It was hard to miss Jena Irene Asciutto during the her auditions for American Idol Season 13.

This little lady rocked the judges (and our TV sets) with her powerhouse vocals and made it into the Top 31 (and far, far beyond). Singing Adele's classic "Rolling in the Deep," the 17-year-old from Detroit showed she's not intimated by popular songs and high notes — all while reminding us more than a little of Paramore's leading lady, Hayley Williams, a comparison we'd find ourselves making often throughout this season.

Despite her age, this high schooler is no amateur. She once fronted popular Detroit rock band Infinity Hour though the band announced they'd broken up last February.

"We are sorry to inform you that Infinity Hour will not be performing any longer," they posted February 9, 2013. "Jena has decided to focus her energy in other areas. We have had a fantastic run, full of great experiences that will no doubt help us all continue our careers in the industry. We'd like to thank you all for the support. Our music and creativity was greatly inspired by your interest and support, so THANK YOU ALL."

Although Jena decided to go solo, the band still looks to support her judging from the shout out she got for tonight's show. Cheers to team spirit!

Jena herself stays active on her YouTube channel and on Twitter, where she made sure to tweet about watching American Idol this evening. Although she doesn't hint at any spoilers for the upcoming season, we have a hunch that Jena's going far. Perhaps even to infinity and beyond?

Just don't forget — it's "jee-nuh," not "jeh-nuh."
