We’ve reached the second week of American Idol and if last week's premiere was any indication, we're in for a phenomenal season! The show is already proving to be different from seasons past, as we’ve said goodbye to the judges’ squabbles and hello to Harry Connick, Jr! (Seriously, can that guy can’t get any more adorable? We don’t thinks so.)
Of course, the one thing that hasn’t changed are the numerous rounds of auditions. January 23’s episode finds the judges headed to Atlanta in hopes of tracking down the country’s next big superstar.
She started off the episode by totally blowing the judges’ socks off. A 21-year-old preschool teacher, she wore flowers in her hair and wowed with her bubbly personality. Although her take on Coldplay’s “Violet Hill” was a bit rough in spots (sorry, we got to be honest), her guitar playing was spot on. Or, dare we say it, majestic.
“It’s a nice feeling from me to hear something very subtle and elegant like that,” said Harry. Jennifer added how “effortless” Majesty Rose’s performance was while Keith said she completely pulled him in.
And with that Majesty gets a Golden Ticket!
What do you think of Majesty’s performance? Will she make it to the Top 31? Read our spoilers here!
