We’ve reached the third and final week of American Idol auditions, which means we’re down to the wire on which contestants will truly compete for the coveted crown! While we’re only in the beginning stages of Season 13, this year’s show has already proven to be different from seasons past. (Thanks in large part to one Harry Connick Jr.)

Of course, there’s one thing that hasn’t changed: numerous rounds of nail-biting auditions! January 30’s episode finds Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. in Omaha, Nebraska in hopes of finding their next big superstar!

It’s here where the judges meet CJ Jones, a little guy with a big voice and an even bigger personality. He says he’s going to sing “Stand By Me,” but when Harry says, “Sorry, I’ve got to stay here,” CJ jokingly demands him to get up onstage.

Amused by CJ’s spirit, Harry decides to “stand by him” during his audition. But of course, Harry being Harry, he can’t resist trying to steal a bit of the spotlight. He starts busting a move in the middle of the song, but luckily CJ’s voice is powerful enough to trump Harry’s hilarity.
