American Idol Season 13 contestant Andrina Brogden had the judges torn about her future after she auditioned with Beyoncé’s “Halo” in Omaha. Getting up the guts to sing a song by Queen Bey is difficult enough, and we thought she sounded amazing, but Jennifer Lopez felt Andrina might be letting fear take over a bit too much. (Little did Andrina know that she'd eventually make Top 31!)

“You have a really beautiful voice,” Jennifer told her at the time, “but I feel like you’re singing with a little bit of fear. You shy away from those bigger moments and I feel like you can do them!” She went on to say she’s concerned about whether Andrina will be able to go on to be “fearless” in the weeks to come.

Harry Connick, Jr. surprised us by saying, “You’re way better than average but not strong enough for American Idol.”

Fortunately for Andrina, Keith Urban disagreed with Harry and declared himself a big fan.

“I think you’re really scared today,” Keith said after complimenting her singing abilities. “I like your look. I think you’ve got a lot of great stuff going on that’s raw … I get the feeling you’re going to rise to the occasion.”

In the end, Andrina earned her Golden Ticket (where we saw her Hollywood Week debut during the February 5 episode), but what else do we know about this pretty girl with that sweet voice?

For one, she hails from Fargo, North Dakota, saying during her package that she wants to “put ND on the map.” She referred to herself as a “natural North Dakota girl.”

According to American Idol Net, this talented, young woman went to West Fargo High School, where she participated in sports as well as secured the lead role in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella for the drama department. She also proved she has brains to boot, participating in cutting edge physics experiment like this one, entitled The Physics Of Wind Instruments. She currently attends Minnesota State University at Moorhead.

Like many of this year’s contestants, Andrina has been performing since she was just a little girl and thanks to her uncle we get a look at some via a touching YouTube video he put together before her Idol audition. Hope he’s still got his camera at the ready. Andrina seems like she's going far in Season 13.
