Much like the earlier parts of this year of American Idol, Season 13 is full of twists and turns that we’ve never seen before. Replacing Vegas Round is the all-new Rush Week, a highly-emotional, intensive round which promises to narrow down our Top 31 to the remaining 13 who will compete for our votes in the finals.

Not all of the contestants will sing for the country, however, as Ryan Seacrest reveals that only 10 of the ladies will take the stage on February 18. Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr, and Keith Urban have reviewed the tapes of the contestants and will be calling them one-by-one to perform... leaving five of them brokenhearted.

Next up is 26-year-old Malaya Watson, who decides to take on one of her favorites, “Hard Times” by Ray Charles. She’s clearly a kooky girl but she’s got the voice of a superstar, as noted by her mentor, Season 5 contestant Chris Daughtry. Will she be able to keep that confidence and deliver a solid performance for the judges?

“There is no doubt that you are one of the big powerhouse singers for this competition,” says J.Lo. “Every time you get up there, it’s just epic. You’re amazing and I really hope we have you around for a long time.”

Will Malaya make it through to the Top 13? The choice is up to you! Vote by calling 1-855-4-IDOL-10 or text 10 to 83676.
