Much like the earlier parts of this year of American Idol, Season 13 is full of twists and turns that we’ve never seen before. Replacing Vegas Round is the all-new Rush Week, a highly-emotional, intensive round which promises to narrow down our Top 31 to the remaining 13 who will compete for our votes in the finals.

Not all of the contestants will sing for the country, however. As we saw on last night’s stress-inducing episode (February 18), only 10 of the 15 ladies got to take the stage, while the others were sent home brokenhearted. Tonight it’s the guys’ turn to start biting their nails as they wait to see who will get called to the stage.

Next up is 24-year-old George Lovett, who’s hoping to show off a different side of himself with “Grenade” by Bruno Mars. Both Adam Lambert and Randy Jackson praise his singing abilities, but note that he needs to work on his stage presence and star quality. Will he manage to step up his game when he performs for America?

“I think it’s possible sometimes to become so emotionally invested in the lyric and the performance, that you almost sing yourself right off of the microphone,” says Harry. “I felt that you were so passionate that it spun out of control. I think that’s why it didn’t have a lot of dynamic. I’ve heard you sing better.”

Will George make it through to the Top 13? The choice is up to you! Vote by calling 1-855-4-IDOL-05 or text 5 to 83676.
