Though we definitely got a preview of Live Performances during American Idol’s all-new Rush Week, the time we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. The final 13 contestants will be battling it out in the hopes of becoming the next big superstar — and the fun and craziness all begins tonight (February 26)!

In another effort to distinguish the show from the previous 12 seasons, Idol producers have decided to be a little bit more lenient with their weekly themes. Instead of going with narrow and recycled themes like Motown and Billy Joel, producers have opted for broader topics, like tonight’s theme, “This Is Me.”

Last to take the stage is Caleb Johnson, the 22-year-old rocker with a retro edge. After totally blowing the judges away with his performance during Rush Week, Caleb hopes to keep up his positive streak with “Pressure and Time” by Rival Sons.

Though Caleb brings yet another solid performance, the judges (like us) wonder if he can identify with a young, modern audience.

“You have serious pipes, man,” says Keith. “That was such a great song. This show is about me getting to know who you are, and that song told me everything about who you are. The only thing I’ll say is that you’ve got to figure out now how to put a twist on that. You’re so retro that you’ve got to make sure it hasn’t been done. Where’s the twist, because you’ve got all the vocal skills to pull it off.”
