It’s hard to believe that American Idol started almost two months ago, but here we are watching the Top 12 compete for the country’s votes! The producers of the show have decided to stick with their decision to embrace some broader themes this year, which means the contestants won’t be stuck with narrow topics like Motown or Billy Joel.

Tonight’s episode (March 5) is sure to bring some serious competition, as the contestants sing songs that remind themselves of “Home.” Though we’ve gotten to know the remaining contestants fairly well over the last few weeks, the personal theme promises to reveal more intimate sides of them than we’ve seen before.

Next to take the stage is Caleb Johnson, the 22-year-old rocker with a retro edge. He continues to blow the judges away with his powerhouse vocals and his interesting vibe, which he hopes to do again with the song “Working Man” by Rush.

While there’s no denying Caleb’s vocal abilities, the judges start to wonder if he’s pigeon-holding himself.

“You are unquestionably the most consistent performer on the show,” says Harry. “But I just want to give you some food for thought. There’s a big difference between being consistent and being predictable. I almost know how I’m going to feel before I even hear you sing. I wonder what you can bring to rock ‘n’ roll to push it forward.”
