Let’s just get this out there right now: We have a major crush on Phillip Phillips. On top of being ridiculously adorable, the 23-year-old singer is also uber talented, continuing to turn out one hit song after another.

Phillip is undoubtedly one of the most successful winners of American Idol. After he nabbed the crown on the Season 11 finale, P2’s debut album went on to go platinum less than 10 months later. He’s performed with major music names like Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer, and has toured around the United States, South America, and Europe.

Despite his commercial success, Phillip’s still just a down-home boy from Leesburg, Georgia. So when he was asked to return to American Idol to perform the new single from his second album, he was a little hesitant.

"I like seeing all the people that I got to know… It's cool to see all those faces," he revealed to Billboard.com. "But it's also weird for me to get back up onstage and sing, because I hate live television, and I'm gonna be scared to death when I get up there! It's always a little nerve-racking."

Phillip may be modest, but as always, he slayed his performance of “Raging Fire.” We found ourselves dancing in our seats and singing along — and you know what? We weren’t the only ones! Judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban were also singing along, and even the critical Harry Connick Jr. gave him a standing ovation!
