Only eight contestants remain in American Idol Season 13. Eight, you guys! That’s not that far away from one hand. It feels like just yesterday we couldn't keep track of all the new hopefuls and now we’re in single digits.

Tonight we whittled the pool of wannabe winners down yet another name. It was a rough episode to watch, even though it was a quick one (just 30 minutes, thanks to a new schedule courtesy of Fox). Host Ryan Seacrest still had his work cut out for him though, revealing who America had voted through after the Wednesday, March 26, performances.

The bottom three were Sam Woolf, Majesty Rose, and CJ Harris, all of whom were understandably upset to find themselves in the bottom. After what felt like forever but was actually shorter than normal, we learned who wouldn’t be returning for another Wednesday; tonight wave goodbye to Majesty.

Sad as this news is, we’ve got to stay positive. How else are we going to make it to the finale in May? Let’s give a big round of applause (or, you know, congratulatory comments) to the Top 8:

Jena Irene Asciutto
Malaya Watson
Alex Preston
Jess Meuse
Caleb Johnson
Dexter Roberts
Sam Woolf
CJ Harris

Best of luck, you guys! We’ll see you next Wednesday, April 2, at 8 p.m sharp.
