We’re almost down to a handful of contestants on Season 13 of American Idol, which means the competition is the fiercest it’s been since we started back in January. Instead of the usual duet performances we’ve been seeing over the last few weeks, the hopefuls will be taking on two songs apiece. It’s sure to be an interesting challenge, as the numbers will be strikingly different from each other: one that’s a little bit country and another that’s rock ‘n’ roll. (Yeah, that was a Donny and Marie reference. Don’t judge us. It’s Idol’s fault.)

Hitting the stage for his second performance of the night is rocker Caleb Johnson. After slaying his rendition of “Sting Me” earlier in the show, he’s ready to prove he’s can take on modern, popular music with just as much ease and style. He makes an unexpected choice with “Undo It” by Carrie Underwood — and while it’s not as strong as his first performance, there’s no denying that it’s undeniably Caleb.

“After that last performance, that’s a very hard performance to top,” says J.Lo. “But that’s not the objective. You did a great job with that song. Sometimes magic happens and it happened for you tonight, it just happened earlier. It’s hard to compare because the first moment was so epic.”

“Those magic moments are fleeting,” adds Harry. “And for whatever reason, the magic really happened in the first song. It was still an extremely song performance, but we heard you sing twice. It’s difficult not to compare the two.”
