Uh-oh! Former American Idol winner Scotty McCreery’s having a rough week and it just started. According to TMZ, his friend’s apartment — located close to North Carolina State University, where Scotty’s a sophomore — was broken into early Monday morning and Scotty got held up!

Scotty was at the place with four of his friends at the time of the incident. We can only imagine how freaked out they were when three armed men showed up and stole cash, electronics, and their wallets. Talk about a rude wake-up call. And speaking of calls, watch the video below to hear the 911 call made after the robbery!

A local news outlet reported the break-in happened around 2 a.m. local time. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the loss of their stuff, especially their wallets, is bad enough! Dealing with a scary situation like that, and then having to cancel all our cards and head to the DMV to replace a license? Worst Monday morning ever!

When Scotty’s not at the wrong place at the wrong time, he’s busy making country music magic happen. He released his third album, See You Tonight, in October 2013, and is currently studying at NCSU as a part-time student as he continues to perform and promote his music.

We hope Scotty and his friends get the aftermath of their robbery sorted out ASAP, and as smoothly as possible. Good luck, guys!
