Adorable teddy bear Jeremy Rosado was the first of the American Idol Season 11 Top 13 to get cut. Jennifer Lopez’s choice for the Wild Card slot couldn’t sing his way into America’s good graces. When the Top 13 performed Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston, his rendition of “Ribbon in the Sky” was praised by J.Lo and Steven Tyler, who called his voice “velvety smooth.”

“For me, it wasn’t your best performance,” Randy Jackson told Jeremy. Evidently, voters agreed because he landed in the Bottom Two, along with Elise Testone. In a new twist, the judges got to pick who they were saving. They went with Elise, whose “I’m Your Baby Tonight” was growly and apparently not what the audience was looking for.
Jeremy was a sweet kid with a nice voice, but it sounds like everyone, except maybe Jennifer, agrees he wasn’t quite up to the competition. Good luck, Jeremy!
