American Idol judge Steven Tyler threw down the gauntlet last night for the remaining three contestants. After Jessica Sanchez wowed the crowd by performing Mariah Carey’s “My All,” Steven boldly predicted that Jessica will be the last one standing after next week’s finale.
So what did the Top 3 think of Steven’s prediction?
According to E!Online, fellow contestant Joshua Ledet wasn’t too bummed about it. He humbly responded, “Steven saying Jessica could be the last one standing, I think he was legit because she's amazing. I want to win, but at this point we're all winners. I'm not saying I don't care, but I would be just as happy to see one of my friends win, Jessica or Phillip.” Aw, you gotta love his great attitude!
Jessica herself said that she “love[d] hearing that” from Steven, but she knows that what really counts is what voters thought of her showing. “I’m just trying to enjoy the moment,” she said.
Meanwhile, Phillip Phillips didn’t directly respond to Steven’s prediction, but he did say that “[e]veryone had a great night” and that he doesn’t think it’s a competition at this point because “everyone is so different.”
Steven might think Jessica has Season 11’s Idol crown in the bag, but after last night’s show we’re on the edge of our seats to find out what America decides!
