In five years, Kree Harrison is hoping to be on tour, promoting her solo record. Did we mention we will be there? Hey, we’ve got five-year dreams, too! We can see it now and, although we can picture her singing in some large venues to a packed house, we also hope she graces the smaller, more intimate venues here and there. To us, that’s where we could see her shining.
If she could sing through an instrument, it would be an electric guitar. She gives Peter Frampton as an example of someone who does this every time he hits the stage. Her vast musical knowledge is no big shocker. Where the other hopefuls were painfully unaware of the Beatles music during the Lennon/McCartney week, Kree acted like she’d been singing “With A Little Help From My Friends” for years. Maybe she has!
As for who inspires her, Kree names her siblings. As she said, they’ve been through so much together, having lost their parents. Her sisters have taught her about being a mom, and her brothers are “strong men.” Kree said that, despite their tragic background, they’ve moved forward in healthy ways, and they inspire her every day. If that doesn’t make you want to shed a tear, you’ve got to check out the video for the song she wrote about her parents after they passed. Grab the tissues, as you’ll need ‘em!
