American Idol 2013 is down to 9 lucky hopefuls and, we don’t mean to toot our own horn, but we did actually predict correctly who was going home this week. We’ll see if we can carry our powers of prediction through the rest of the season.

It was sad to see Curtis Finch, Jr., go, as he is majorly talented, but that’s the way Idol goes (sorry, Nicki Minaj). When it comes to the 9 remaining singers, the talent is astronomical. Inevitably, though, some are better than others, and here are our power rankings for the Top 9:

9. Devin Velez -- He nearly went this week and, unless he really picks the absolute perfect song on Wednesday, we think he may be going home.

8. Paul Jolley -- Although Paul has a pretty solid fan base, the judges haven’t been blown away by any of his performances. The end of the road is nigh for this pseudo-country guy.

7. Lazaro Arbos -- Again, this is a tough one due to his solid following on the social media sites, but he’s had a few missteps performance-wise. We don’t think he has the staying power to go all the way.

6. Janelle Arthur -- She’s definitely the wild card in the competition, as she used to be considered a frontrunner, but she took a step back after her Lady Antebellum performance. We’ll see if she can regain that momentum but, for now, we’re keeping her at #6.

5. Burnell Taylor -- We’d like to say a guy will get farther than this in the competition but, as Jimmy Iovine said last night, the girls are outperforming the guys at every step. Burnell is amazing, but the girls have been consistently better.

4. Amber Holcomb -- After her stunning performance of “A Moment Like This,” Amber picked up thousands of Twitter followers. Where we thought she might go home soon due to a lack of fans, we think her voice is gaining her some traction. We can’t wait to see what she’ll sing next.

3. Candice Glover -- We’d like to say this girl will win it all but, alas, she doesn’t have as huge of a fan base as some of the others. If she keeps up performances like this past week (her unforgettable rendition of “I, Who Have Nothing”), she could possibly gain more and more fans. For now, though, we’re keeping her at #3.

2. Angie Miller -- We have predicted she’d win it all for a while now, but we’re wondering if being called the winner by so many, so early might handicap her a bit. People expect a lot of this girl, and that could spell trouble.

1. Kree Harrison -- At first, the country spotlight seemed to belong to Janelle but, where Janelle has had a few missteps, Kree has continued to shine...and shine and shine and shine. Consistency is her strong suit, and we think she’ll sing her way to number one.
