American Idol 2013 is now down to three finalists, and what a dynamic trio they are! Figuring out our American Idol power rankings for these ladies wasn't easy!
We have to say, this could easily be the most talented Top 3 in the show’s history, despite the terrible American Idol ratings this season. (We blame the judges, the stale format and the boring song themes for that.) Between Angie Miller’s distinctive upper register, Kree Harrison’s signature bluesy/country sound, and the powerhouse vocals of Candice Glover, it’s anyone’s competition to win. Of course, only one can actually take the crown, and it’s time for our Top 3 Power Rankings!
3. Kree Harrison: We pegged this girl as winning it all after her momentous performance of “Up To The Mountain” during the Las Vegas rounds. But she hasn’t been able to regain the natural passion she showed during that number. Of course, she could surprise us next week. But right now, we’re not quite sure she’ll make the finale.
2. Candice Glover: This is a tough one! If we’re being honest, we think Candice deserves to win. She’s been the most consistent of all the singers this season, but Angie has almost double the number of Twitter followers. Regardless, an Angie/Candice finale would surely be compelling.
3. Angie Miller: It’s interesting to note that we had called this girl out as the winner right after she performed that incredible original song, “You Set Me Free,” during Hollywood Week. It’s rare, though, that someone can maintain that kind of momentum. While Angie has had a few missteps (like the cringe-worthy performance of “Shop Around”), she’s definitely got the knack for choosing songs that highlight her strengths. With her incredible vocals, tender piano moments, and strong online following, we think she has what it takes win it all!
