Who was voted off American Idol 2013 by the viewers in the first voting round? Which of your favorite Season 12 performers will be overjoyed to learn they made it to the finals? Join us for our liveAmerican Idol recap and watch the elimination results with us!

Half of the Top 20 singers will go home in the American Idol results tonight, leaving us with just 10 remaining finalists. With the elimination results show tonight running for 90 long minutes, we’re sure the producers will be throwing in a couple of crazy twists or something as well. So far we haven’t had any American Idol spoilers about what those might be, but we do suspect a wildcard announcement may be in the works. Who was eliminated on American Idol tonight will be stretched out over a very long show, and the best part will naturally be saved until the very end.

The whole season so far, all we’ve heard about is getting to the American Idol Season 12 Top 10, but it could very well actually turn out to be a Top 11, or Top 12. Until the elimination show is over tonight, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen. Honestly, it’s been kind of a weak season, and having a wildcard thrown into the mix isn’t likely to spice things up all that much. There is barely enough strong talent this year to even make a reasonably good American Idol Top 10!

So will your favorites make it through to the finals this evening? Or will they be among those who went home on American Idol tonight? We’ll be live blogging all the action, complete with any performance videos, right here. So join us for our live American Idol recap starting right now and watch with us!

The tension is high as host Ryan Seacrest takes the stage tonight to announce who will go home on American Idol and who will make it through to the Season 12 Top 10. We can only hope poor Charlie Askew doesn’t lose it all over the stage again this evening if he doesn’t make it through.

Ryan assures us the American Idol judges have no idea what is going to happen with the votes tonight. The Top 20 contestants are backstage and they can’t hear or see anything going on stage right now. Ryan says he will announce the Season 12 Top 10 contestants one by one. But first, of course, we have to have a mini-review of the season so far, courtesy of a video montage.

First up for results for tonight will be the guys. Viewers are granted a long review of all the Top 10 guys’ journey on American Idol 2013 so far. There are some great moments... and some really bad performances they should really have just skipped over...

Ryan goes backstage to announce the first person going through to the American Idol Top 10 is... Paul Jolley! Apparently all the contestants are going to perform after they are selected tonight, which finally explains why the show is 90 minutes long tonight!

Ryan gets ready to announce the next Top 10 contestants and poor Charlie Askew says he needs to tell them! He’s obviously distressed about finding out his fate. (Sorry Charlie, it’s a million to one chance for you.) Indeed, it isn’t Charlie that Ryan names. It’s Devin Velez!
