It’s almost time for our American Idol 2013 recap of the Season 12 Top 4 performance show, and we’re not quite sure what to expect from the ladies this evening. While the themes “one hit wonders” and “personal choice”  give these girls more leeway than former weeks, we’re not all that fond of the song choices revealed in our American Idol spoilers.

If the song choices leaked are correct, we’re in for a night of some pretty sleep-inducing ballads. Amber Holcomb is taking on Celine Dion’s “Power Of Love” and “MacArthur Park” by Richard Harris (and redone by Donna Summers). There’s no denying her vocals are amazing, but these choices feel so dated to us. However, no matter what we (or the voters think), we're betting the American Idol judges will love these classics.

And perhaps Angie Miller will surprise, but we were not excited at all when we heard she’s singing another Jessie J song, and one she has sung before (“Who U R”). In previous seasons, other American Idol contestants have gone with songs they’ve already sung, but you really have to knock it out of the park to avoid a “been there, done that” vibe. Her second song is “Cry Me A River,” which, when we listened to it on YouTube, nearly made us fall asleep! Unless she can do something super special to that one, she could be in trouble.

Kree Harrison is set to supposedly sing the Susan Tedeschi song “Hurts So Bad” and we think she'll do insanely well with this one. Her one hit wonder is is also interesting  "A Whiter Shade of Pale" by Annie Lennox, and we can’t wait to find out what this talented country singer is going to pull from her vast bag of tricks for that one. Jimmy Iovine said Kree was getting boring a couple of weeks ago, so we hope these song picks will reignite her passion.

Candice Glover is reportedly singing Drake’s “Find Your Love”. We adore that she’s singing something contemporary, but we hope she makes this her own, as it’s kind of boring, no? Her second song is “Emotion,” and most likely she’ll do something similar to Destiny’s Child version. Sadly, we don’t love this pick for her either, but she’s yet to make any serious missteps yet, so we’re sure she’ll pull out all the stops.

The duets are going to be the true show-stoppers, as Amber and Kree will be singing “Rumor Has It” by Adele and Angie and Candice will be performing “Stay” by Rihanna. We actually had the latter on our list of song choices for Angie to sing, but we weren’t sure how she’d pull it off as anything other than a duet. Either way, we sort of get our wish, and these pairings are going to be history-making.
