The American Idol Season 12 compilation CD is about to hit shelves, but with the ratings so terrible this season, will anyone be buying?

According to the Idol Pad, the finalists will be releasing a group album to Wal-Mart on April 30. It will then be available for widespread release beginning May 7.

According to the spoilers, this is what you can expect to find on the American Idol 2013 Top 10 Album:

1. Angela Miller – “Yesterday” by The Beatles

2. Candice Glover – “I (Who Have Nothing)” by Ben E. King

3. Burnell Taylor – “Flying Without Wings” by Westlife/Ruben Studdard

4. Kree Harrison – “With A Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles

5. Paul Jolley – “Amazed” by Lonestar

6. Amber Holcomb – “A Moment Like This” by Kelly Clarkson

7. Janelle Arthur – “I Will” by The Beatles

8. Lazaro Arbos – “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson

9. Devin Velez – “The Long And Winding Road” by The Beatles

10. Curtis Finch Jr. – “I Believe” by Fantasia Barrino

Huh. These are–ahem–interesting picks, don’t you think? We have to wonder how they came up with these, as we’d have gone with some different choices, like “My Funny Valentine” for Amber. And, while we loved Kree’s Beatles performance, we might have gone all the way back to her Hollywood Week performance and had her record “Stars” by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

Call us crazy, but “This Time” was our absolute fave Burnell performance. Lastly, perhaps they’re saving Angie’s original for her debut album, but we’d have RUN–not walked–to get the album if they included “You Set Me Free”. All that said, we love Janelle’s pick, as that was definitely her best performance to date.

We’re sure the powers that be at Idol have their reasons for these picks. Will you buy this album once it drops?
