There’s no denying some themes on American Idol make us cringe. This week's choice is one of those. The Amercian Idol spoilers for the Top 7 performance show song theme have been revealed: Classic Rock, No Ballads.

Did anyone else just have a terrifying vision of Lazaro Arbos doing “Freebird”? No? Just us? Shivers. Whether you love it or hate, you'd better be prepared to see a lot of funky hairstyles, leather pants, and rock tees.

The two-hour show on Wednesday, April 3 (8 p.m.-10 p.m. CT), will feature the remaining American Idol 2013 Top 7:

Lazaro Arbos

Amber Holcomb

Burnell Taylor

Janelle Arthur

Candice Glover

Angie Miller

Kree Harrison

As we predicted, the guys have been systematically picked off, one by one, since the Season 12 Top 10 were chosen. And, frankly, we can’t see a lot of them doing well with this theme, but perhaps we’ll be pleasantly surprised. Candice showed us her ability to rock during the Lennon/McCartney week by singing “Come Together”. And Kree has shown a versatility among all the genres. However, original front-runner Angie Miller went up tempo this week with “Shop Around,” and the result was a disaster.

Whatever these folks choose, it will surely be an interesting show. Come back for the Thursday results show (8 p.m.-9 p.m. CT) to see Carrie Underwood perform her new single, “See You Again,” and Casey James perform “The Good Life”.

What do you think about this theme for the Season 12 Top 7?
