The second round of 20 American Idol 2013 hopefuls perform in Vegas this week and, after watching last week’s new sudden death format, we don’t envy the nerves they must be feeling.

By the end of the week, ten more will go home on American Idol, which will leave us with our Top 20 performers ready (or not!) to hit the Idol stage for live performances.

The girls are up first on Wednesday, and here’s a quick reminder about who you will see perform:

February 27 @ 8-10 pm ET
Aubrey Cleland
Breanna Steer
Candice Glover
Cristabel Clack
Janelle Arthur
Jett Hermano
Juliana Chahayed
Melinda Ademi
Rachel Hale
Zoanette Johnson

And then Thursday, the following guys get their turn to wow the judges:

February 28 @ 8-10 pm ET
Bryant Tadeo
Burnell Taylor
Cortez Shaw
David Willis
Gurpreet Singh Sarin
Joshua “Josh” Holiday
Lazaro Arbos
Mathenee Treco
Nick Boddington
Vincent “Vince” Powell

Of these, the singers we are most excited to see are...

Candice Glover -- This girl is a returning Idol hopeful, and she must have used last year to hone her skills. Candice has brought if for every performance, and we are excited to see if she can keep her stellar run going.

Janelle Arthur -- This country singer has been the object of the judges’ affection since the show started, so we are eager to see if she can maintain that consistency.

Melinda Ademi -- After that last Hollywood Week performance when she infused energy into the lifeless room with performance of Jessie J’s “Price Tag,” we can’t wait to see her again.

Zoanette Johnson -- Needless to say, we’re highly anticipating what this girl will do next. Talk about a wild card!

Burnell Taylor -- He’s been so unique since his first audition in Baton Rouge, and we just can’t wait to hear him sing again.

Nick Boddington -- He wowed us and the judges with that performance of “Stars” at the piano for his Hollywood Week solo. Nick was cut in Sin City last year, so he’s gotta be hoping in his case, what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas but, instead, moves on to LA, baby!

Who are you most excited to see?
