On American Idol 2013 Season 12, it seems like it is the year of returning auditioners. Perhaps they’ve gone back to the drawing board, honed their skills, and returned — new and improved.
That’s always the hope, and it sure seemed to be the case with Aubrey Cleland of Orange, CA. Aubrey made it into the Season 12 Top 40 and showed huge potential in the Vegas rounds. The judges were in love with her performance and gave her a spot in the Top 20.
In seasons past, we’ve heard a lot of talk from judges about some who have had “the whole package,” and that’s exactly what Aubrey apparently was. According to the Idol Chatter blog, she and her mom won a Family Circle Magazine’s nationwide Mother-Daughter Model search that drew over 2,300 entries. The stunning singer auditioned for Season 10 and Season 11, having made it to Hollywood week during her audition for Season 10.
On top of being beautiful and talented, the young singer is also a philanthropist, having traveled to Mexico last year on a mission trip with her church. Aubrey graduated from Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon in 2011 and currently attends Chapman University.
Although Aubrey did not make the American Idol Season 12 Top 10, she was voted by the viewers to join the American Idols LIVE! Tour as an 11th 'wildcard' member.
