The American Idol 2013 performances tonight were absolutely insane! From the highs of Candice Glover’s “best song in American Idol history” to the lows of Lazaro Arbos’ possibly worst performance in the show’s twelve seasons — you can’t miss a second of the Season 12 Top 6 on stage!
There is only one guy left in the competition on American Idol 2013 this week, but it is pretty clear everyone understands that it isn’t because Lazaro Arbos is a great singer. At this point, the American Idol judges don’t even know what to say after he performs. Well, except for Randy Jackson, who isn’t afraid to just say “that was horrible.” On American Idol tonight, Lazaro once again gave two dismal performances — one of which we consider to be in the Top 5 worst songs ever in the show’s long run.
On the other side of the coin, Candice Glover not only had one, but two simply astonishing performances tonight. Her last song of the evening, “Love Song” by The Cure, as sung by Adele, brought the American Idol judges to their feet not once, but TWICE. The whole live audience gave her a standing ovation as well and were screaming so loud, the judges couldn’t even talk. Randy Jackson just yelled out that, on behalf of all the judges, that was probably the best performance in American Idol history. Right before the credits rolled for the night, he actually followed that up by saying it was one of the best performances on any reality TV competition show ever.
