Could the third time be the charm for American Idol hopeful Janelle Arthur? Considering she's made it all the way to the Top 20 and stands a good chance of making the Top 10, it looks like it might be so!

Even the most confident of singers can begin to doubt themselves after being booted from American Idol twice during the Hollywood rounds. Luckily for Idol and its fans, Janelle is made of tougher stuff.

As she said in a recent interview about her decision to audition for American Idol 2013, “I questioned whether I should [audition] this year. I almost didn’t...but I have something to prove to myself. You should always keep on trying and not give up.”

It hasn’t always been easy, however. As she said, “It’s tough. After being through [the Hollywood rounds] three times, I believe they would have seen you enough and heard you enough by now if they really wanted you.”

Much to the dismay of the folks behind American Idol, it’s no longer the only gig in town, either. So we could have lost the talented 22-year-old country singer to its competition.

“I could have gone to another [singing] competition show. I thought about it,” the Oliver Springs, TN, native admitted. “But I really just love ‘American Idol’ and believe in the show.’” She went on to say, “I believe in the careers it produces. I just felt like I should go back there.”

The show’s slogan this season is “Others dream, Idol delivers,” so the super talented singer could be onto something. And we think she could go far. In fact, we recently offered 5 reasons why Janelle Arthur will win American Idol 2013.

So far Janelle has made it all the way to the Top 20, and Randy Jackson says she is his "favorite country singer" in the competition so far. What do you think of Janelle? Could she win it all?
