Are you ready for an American Idol extravaganza of epic proportions? In the past, American Idol has aired twice a week, three times a week, even four times in one week — but the upcoming brand new American Idol All Stars will take over the small screen for a crazy five nights a week!

What, American Idol All Stars? What is that? Well, every reality show on television has been milking the ‘All Stars’ phenomenon. We’ve had Top Chef All Stars, Project Runway All Stars, America’s Next Top Model All Stars and even Celebrity Apprentice All Stars! America’s hottest, number one reality TV talent competition couldn’t be left out of all this All Stars madness, could it?

American Idol All Stars, which will air on Fox from Monday through Friday at 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. starting on July 1st, will also feature an All Stars judges’ panel! No, Simon Cowell will not be back, because he’s planning his own X Factor All Stars show to feature all his favorite created boy bands and girl groups. However, we have heard Paula Abdul, Kara Dioguardi, Ellen DeGeneres and Steven Tyler in drag will be coming back for an all-’girls’ All Stars judging panel for the new season!

Host Ryan Seacrest, however, will not be on board for American Idol All Stars, although he will be returning for American Idol 2014. Instead, we hear rumors The Bachelor Sean Lowe is close to signing a deal to take over hosting duties for the show as soon as he is voted off Dancing With the Stars 2013. Sean allegedly has a bet going with former American Idol contestant and fellow DWTS competitor Kellie Pickler on who can star in the most reality TV competition shows and he is determined to win!

As for the contestants on American Idol All Stars, we don’t have any firm spoilers yet, but we can probably count on Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert competing to become the first actual out contestant to be an American Idol finalist. Both of them passed on the opportunity to come out their first time around on the show, so now they’ll be looking for redemption! Plus, we hear  Nikki McKibbin may come out of karaoke retirement hoping to prove she really did deserve to come in third on American Idol Season 1. Sanjaya Malakar, however, reportedly said he’d rather keep singing in subways than ever step foot on the American Idol stage again.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS' DAY! This article is 100% false. An American Idol All Stars series would be, in fact, horrifying to contemplate...
