American Idol Season 4 alum Anthony Fedorov and fiancée Jennifer Paz welcomed a new baby boy into the family on Friday. Julian Paz Federov was born at 6:08 p.m. CDT in Chicago and weighed in at 7lbs, 2 oz.

“We thought he was going to be an Easter baby,” Jennifer said in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “We tried to avoid having an April Fool’s baby but we decided he’s a fool for love.”

Baby boy Julian was actually due to arrive on April 8 via Caesarian, but Jennifer began having contractions and her doctor pushed the couple to go ahead with an early delivery, according to THR.

“I’ve wanted to be a father ever since I was a teenager,” Anthony said. “When I met Jennifer, I knew she was the one. Outside of being an artist/performer, I felt like my calling in life was to be a father.” On his Twitter feed, Anthony posted: "There's nothing better than waking up early in the morning and seeing my love feeding our baby Julian... Then I get to change his diaper:) now he is sleeping in my arms and we are melting."

Russian-born Anthony Federov was the fourth place finalist on American Idol Season 4 and is currently the lead singer for the band 7th Heaven in Chicago. Anthony is also an actor as well as a singer/songwriter, and has performed in a variety of musical theater roles. Most recently, he played the part of Rolf Gruber in “The Sound of Music” at the Paper Mill Playhouse.

Anthony and Jennifer, a fellow stage actress, became engaged on December 25, 2012. We haven't heard about a date for the wedding yet, but we're betting it won't be long now that baby Julian has arrived!
