American Idol Alum Danny Gokey and Wife Expecting a Baby!
American Idol Season 8 alum Danny Gokey is about to be a daddy!
Danny announced on Twitter yesterday that he and wife Leyicet Peralta — whom he married in January — are expecting a baby! According to his tweet, the couple’s little bundle of joy is due next January. Leyicet added, “We are very excited.”
It’s a positive milestone for Danny, who lost his first wife Sophia Martinez to a congenital heart disease in 2008 shortly before his Idol audition. He credited Sophia with his Idol bid, since she was a fan of the show.
Danny and Leyicet have been together since 2011.
Congrats to the happy couple!
