Have you ever wanted to watch your favorite small screen shows, like American Idol, up on the big screen? If you live in LA, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Detroit, Boston, Nashville, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, or Houston, now’s your chance.

FOX is set to air the world premiere of Season 12 a week early for fans at select theaters in these areas. As if that doesn’t make your Idol-loving self giddy enough, there will be a live interactive Q&A featuring host Ryan Seacrest (who will moderate the session) and judges Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban. The whole thing will stream live via Americanidol.com and Livestream.com.

Fans can attend this free event by getting their names on the list via Idol RSVP on a first come, first serve basis. Even better, fans can also submit questions for the Q & A on the Idol Facebook page before the event, and via Twitter on the day of the event using #Idol. Come on, you know you’ve always wanted to ask Ryan if he highlights his hair.

For those of us who can’t make it, the TV premiere of the show is a two-night event airing on Wednesday, January 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Thursday, January 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
