Get your voting fingers ready, and we’re not just talking about next week’s big finale! American Idol and its cast are up for a few surfboards in this year’s Teen Choice Awards, and they’ll need your vote to win ‘em.

Idol has been nominated for the Choice TV: Reality Competition Show prize against fellow vocal competition shows The X Factor and The Voice as well as America’s Next Top Model and Survivor: One World. This gives all new meaning to the phrase “competitor programs”!

Idol judge Steven Tyler faces off with former Idol judge and current X Factor show-runner Simon Cowell as well as Cee Lo Green from The Voice, Nick Cannon from America’s Got Talent, and Gordon Ramsay from Hell’s Kitchen for the Choice TV: Male Personality award.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez (who may or may not be returning for Season 12) is up for Choice TV: Female Personality against The Voice’s Christina Aguilera, Tyra Banks from America’s Next Top Model, Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing With The Stars, and Jessica Simpson for her show Fashion Star. J.Lo is also nominated for Choice Female Artist, and her song “Dance Again” (which she performed last week on Idol, coincidentally) is nominated for Choice Single by a Female Artist, where she’ll face off with Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson for her single, “Stronger.”

Lauren Alaina might’ve come in second place for Idol’s tenth season, but she stands a shot at winning the Choice TV: Female Reality Star prize this year, and Season 10’s winner Scotty McCreery is up for the Choice TV: Male Reality Star surfboard. Lauren and Scotty are also each nominated for Choice Country Artist in the female and male categories, respectively. Lauren faces off with two other Idol alums for that prize, including Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler.

Concluding the American Idol-related nominations, host Ryan Seacrest is up for “Choice Twit.”
