Louisiana native Burnell Taylor was voted off on the Top 7 American Idol results show Thursday night, but did he deserve to go home?
Many fan polls and blogger predictions before the elimination results show this week were predicting the person most in danger was Lazaro Arbos, who has a track record of forgetting his lyrics, complaining about never knowing the songs he picks out, and giving mediocre (or worse) performances most of the time.
Lazaro Arbos was in the Top 3 on Thursday, much to the surprise of his detractors and the delight of his fans. He placed right up there with Angie Miller and Kree Harrison as one of the three most voted for finalists of the night. That left Burnell’s fans crying foul and saying Burnell deserved to move on in the competition far more than Lazaro did.
Of course, Lazaro’s fans disagree, which is why Burnell ended up on the bottom this week. Sadly, Burnell also didn’t really stand much of a chance of convincing the judges to use their one and only save on him either. The push is clearly for a girl to be the American Idol winner this year, and we don’t really see Burnell undergoing a sudden sex change to qualify for that spot.
Vote in our poll below and let us know if you think Burnell deserved to go home or not!
