Are you ready for the American Idol results for who went home this week on Season 12?

There has been has some fierce competition on American Idol 2013 with a very strong field of contenders for the crown this year. Last week it was narrowed down to the Top 10, and tonight, another contestant was eliminated.

All along, we knew certain people were safe. After her show-stopping performance, there was no way Candice Glover was going home. Others we were less sure about. Nicki Minaj had some tough words for Janelle Arthur when the latter sang “Gone” by Montgomery Gentry last night. We weren’t sure if America would agree that the country cutie should’ve gone with something “prettier.”

Then there was Lazaro Arbos, whose version of “Breakaway” failed to impress almost all the judges. But maybe Mariah Carey was right and voters were “falling in love with the courage” he has, regardless of his song choices.

We had a sneaking suspicion Curtis Finch Jr. might have reached the end of his Idol journey when we learned he was arrested in 2010 for involvement in a theft. Despite a performance of Fantasia’s “I Believe” that had all the judges praising him, it might not be enough to save Curtis if he had failed to disclose the details of his arrest to producers. Perhaps it was going to be like Jermaine Jones all over again?
