American Idol Season 7 alum Carly Smithson has announced she’ll be adding a little one to her new family with hubby Todd.

After teasing that she’s been suffering some serious food cravings, the Irish-American pop songstress announced the news yesterday on Twitter.

“Ok here is my big news - IM GONNA BE A MOMMY Y'ALL !!!!!!” she tweeted. “I've kept it a secret for a long time but I'm excited to share it finally with you guys.”

It really must’ve been keep under wraps for a long time, because from the looks of the accompanying photo she looks ready to pop!

So far, 2012 has been a big baby year for Idol alums. Carly’s fellow Season 7 contestant Brooke White just had her first baby with Hubby Dave Ray in late May.
