American Idol Winner Lee DeWyze Ties the Knot With Jonna Walsh
American Idol Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze is officially off the market!
The guitar-wielding singer married model/actress Jonna Walsh on Saturday in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony.
According to People, about 100 guests gathered in Camarillo, California to watch the happy couple exchange vows and Tiffany’s wedding bands. Wearing a Lili Bridal strapless mermaid gown accented with vintage-inspired lace embroidery, Jonna walked down the aisle to a song Lee wrote specifically for her titled “Who Would Have Known.”
“It’s a personal song that will be on my next album,” the groom told People.
The retro-style reception featured tables decorated with vintage Coca-Cola crates, vintage movie reels, and sheets of music rolled up into jars. Guests were treated to a buttercream five-tier cake by Skiff’s Cakes.
Lee and Jonna originally met in October 2010 during the shooting of Lee’s video for “Sweet Serendipity.” After the couple’s first date at a Lakers/Bulls basketball game, Jonna called her mom and told her she had just met her future husband.
“I could feel it in my heart,” said Jonna.
Lee proposed on a private yacht in Disney World. “When I realized I could be 100 percent myself around her all of the time I knew I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life,” he said.
The happy couple have plans to honeymoon in Bali, which Lee once visited during a tour of Asia.
