American Idol Wins Choice Reality Competition Show at the Teen Choice Awards

Congrats are in order! American Idol took home two surfboards at last night's 2011 Teen Choice Awards. The Fox show nabbed the award for Choice Reality Competition Show — pretty impressive considering that they were up against TV hits like So You Think You Can Dance and The Voice. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez beat out fellow Idol-er Ryan Seacrest to win Choice TV Personality. Perhaps Jen is worth that $20 million paycheck after all.

Unfortch, none of the Idolers were present to accept the awards. But considering the show films in Hollywood, we hope Jennifer and the crew will find time to catch a few waves on those prized surfboards next season.
