American Idol’s Fantasia Barrino Shows Off a New Look: Then and Now

Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez weren’t the only ones getting attention during this week’s American Idol finale. Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino had the Internet buzzing when she flaunted a serious style transformation in her finale perfomance with Season 11 contestant Joshua Ledet.

Back when she won Idol in 2004, the 19-year-old single mom from High Point, North Carolina wore her hair super-short and boasted a rather muscular physique.

At this week’s finale, Fantasia wowed the crowd with a whole new look: very, very long extensions and a sparkly catsuit with cutout sides that showed off her post-baby curves. Fantasia gave birth to her second child, a boy she named Dallas Xavier Barrino, in December.

Following her performance, Fantasia continued to set the rumor mills abuzz, as she suffered a near nip slip on the American Idol red carpet.

One thing’s for sure: She knows how to keep people talking!
