American Idol’s Jennifer Hudson to Perform With Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus at Super Bowl

Make sure to have a box of tissue handy this Super Bowl weekend.
 
Jennifer Hudson, one of our favorite American Idol alums, will be performing with the Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus on Sunday, February 3 during the Super Bowl. The Newtown, Connecticut school was ravaged by violence when a gunman fatally shot 20 children and six adults on December 14, 2012.

The Dreamgirls actress announced the news via Twitter, writing, “I'm blessed & honored to be singing ‘America The Beautiful’ with Sandy Hook elementary school chorus at the Super Bowl Sunday.”

While we can’t wait for Beyonce’s face-melting performance this Sunday, we’re also looking forward to this moving tribute by J.Hud and the kids from Sandy Hook Elementary.
