American Idol 2013 contestant Angie Miller has been a standout performer since her initial audition of Jessie J’s “Mamma Knows Best” in New York. However, it was her astonishing original song performance of “You Set Me Free” in the Hollywood Week solo round that turned her into a strong favorite to win this season.

When we first saw this 18-year-old vocal powerhouse from Beverly, MA, she was going by Angela Miller, but somewhere along the way she morphed into Angie Miller. Personally, we’re more fond of Angela — sounds classier and more diva — but whatever name she goes by, we consider ‘Angie’ to be one of the odds on favorites to make the Season 12 finale.

American Idol judge Keith Urban told us in a conference call interview that Angie Miller’s vocals are simply “superb,” and we couldn’t agree more. Plus, she’s gorgeous and she can play a mean set of ivories while belting out those amazing originals and near-perfect cover songs. Of all the ladies competing in the American Idol Season 12 Top 10, Angie seems like she may just have the best total package to offer.

We couldn’t wait to see which American Idol winner’s song Angie would perform for the Top 10 ‘Songs of the American Idols’ theme week. Would it be Kelly Clarkson? Carrie Underwood? Or someone totally unexpected? After the incredibly moving performance she gave of former Idol alum Colton Dixon’s “Never Gone,” we were pretty sure it was going to be great no matter what! What do you think? Does she deserve a spot in the Top 9?
