American Idol alum Carrie Underwood is one of the hottest country stars — not just because she’s wildly successful but also because she’s in great shape. Her reason for the latter? As she tells People for its cover story on the 30-year-old and her marriage, she’s just trying to keep up with her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher.
"Even when he's like, 'I'm so out of shape,' he still has a six-pack," she dishes. "Having Mike there — I want to be a hot wife!"
So she works hard on her fitness while on the road for her Blown Away tour, but she also strives to keep in close contact with her hubby of three years.
"If Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I'd quit," she reveals. "When you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work."
