It looks like Randy Jackson might be judging Season 12 of American Idol after all.

Despite reports that Enrique Iglesias received a firm offer to judge the show, a source told The Hollywood Reporter that negotiations with the Latin heartthrob have officially stopped. Details are unclear, but money may have been a factor.

The insider says that Fox’s current plan is to announce the full judging panel of Randy, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban — the latter two are both reportedly close to signing deals — by the end of September, in time for Idol’s on-site auditions.

It’s good to see Randy potentially back to doing what he does best on the show!
