Fantasia Barrino Is Pregnant!

Happy news! It looks like congratulations are in order for American Idol Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino. People Magazine is reporting that Barrino, while performing at a charity event in Jacksonville, Fla. on Sunday, revealed that she is expecting her second child.

In front of a crowd of fans, Fantasia said, “You are the first [people] that I share this news with, and I share this with you because I can relate to you. And for a while, I walked around figuring out what they will say and what will they think about me. But now I tell you, I don't live my life for folk.”

Fantasia — who was most recently romantically linked to married man Antwaun Cook — didn’t mention the baby’s father. She continued “So, this child that I carry – God has given me this child. And I don't have to hide it from none of y'all.”

The baby gives Barrino much reason to celebrate after her suicide attempt — reportedly triggered by the negative attention she received from her relationship with Cook — in August of last year.  

Fantasia has a 9-year-old daughter, Zion, from a previous relationship.
