The only thing more American on the Fourth of July than flags and fireworks is the National Anthem. Our favorite American Idol contestants have contributed a slew of great performances of “The Star Spangled Banner” over 2012. Some, like Jessica Sanchez’s rendition at the 2012 NBA Finals Game 1, were triumphant. Even judge Steven Tyler’s gotten in on the action, performing the classic tune at the 2012 AFC Championship game in January.
