Keeping track of your favorite shows can be difficult, so we’re sure you’re wondering: Is American Idol new tonight?

Fans of the show can rejoice, because tonight brings us a brand new episode — and another elimination! Before we find out who will be going home, viewers will be treated to performances by Season 11 favorite Colton Dixon, Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee, and American Idol 2013 judge Keith Urban.

On American Idol last night, the Season 12 Top 8 took on songs from the Motown era, with the contestants really beginning to put their signature touch on performances.

Candice Glover kicked off the evening with a slow and jazzy version of Marvin Gaye’s “Heard It Through the Grapevine,” which the judges loved. Keith even said it was her best performance so far. But the judges saved most of their accolades for Amber Holcomb, who sang Stevie Wonder’s “Lately” and received a standing ovation. Country cuties Janelle Arthur and Kree Harrison also turned in performances that floored the judging panel.

The guys also fared pretty well, with Lazaro Arbos bouncing back from last week’s rough performance round with his version of Stevie Wonder’s “For Once in My Life.” Burnell Taylor and Devin Velez also impressed the judges with their respective songs, getting hardly any criticism.

To the surprise of many, Angie Miller delivered the night’s weakest performance with her take on Smokey Robinson & the Miracles’ “Shop Around.” Randy Jackson noted the pitchiness in her voice, while the other judges just didn’t like her song choice.

But which of these talented contestants will be getting the boot on the American Idol results show tonight? Join us for our live recap right here at 8 p.m. ET and find out!
