James Durbin and His Fiancee Share an Intimate Moment

Season 10 American Idol alum James Durbin, 23, who tied the knot with fiancee Heidi Lowe on New Year’s Eve, is now enjoying some much-needed R&R with his new bride.

On Tuesday, while honeymooning with his ladylove, James tweeted, “From frozen waterfalls to the smallest snowman, every moment is magic. I’m the luckiest man in the world @Heidi_Holiday. Look out future!”

James and Heidi met at a karaoke party and dated for four years before exchanging their “I dos.” In a November 2011 interview with Us Weekly, James gushed about his now-wife, who’s nine years his senior: “[I]f it wasn't for that night and meeting Heidi that way, I wouldn't have anything to say for my life. [...] She really picked me up and showed me the way. […] Behind every successful man there's an even better woman. I wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for Heidi.”

The couple has a 2-year-old son, who surely elicited awws as their ring bearer. Other wedding guests included James’s Idol bros Stefano Langone (the best man), Paul McDonald (a groomsman), and Casey Abrams.

James credits Heidi with helping him through his struggle with Tourette’s and Asperger’s. "In the middle of it all, I met an angel... Heidi's just changed my life so much," he has said.
