Jennifer Lopez was honored at Monday’s Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City. The pop star and American Idol judge showed some major leg in a Versace gown slit up almost her waist. J.Lo is in luminous, lauded company: The other Glamour Women of the Year include Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, media mogul Arianna Huffington, former First Lady Laura Bush, and author/activist Gloria Steinem.
On stage, Jennifer Lopez was visibly moved by the women both in the audience and those in her life: "It's the women. Through the ups and the not so ups, that's the one thing that got me through," J.Lo told the audience, reports Us Weekly. “My grandmother, who taught me to cook and not be afraid to serve and be humble. And to go out looking nice because people like that and then they respect you."
J.Lo has glamorously weathered a tumultuous year, from her divorce from Marc Anthony to her hectic work schedule. In true Fly Girl form, Jennifer made an outfit change before heading to the after-party — into a black leather dress with touches of lace.
