We can only imagine what it was like to tour the nation judging American Idol talent with Steven Tyler, but now, thanks to Ryan Seacrest, we have a clearer picture of his zany antics. Spoiler alert: He’s still crazy after all these years.
The Idol host joined Steven Tyler on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last week and shared a hilarious story: While filming Season 11 in Las Vegas, Jennifer Lopez stumbled upon Steven swimming completely naked in the hotel pool. Ryan explains: “At the end of a final performance from a contestant, I heard this scream from Jennifer Lopez and I looked up and she was standing over the Le Reve pool. It’s a water show, so she’s standing over the edge and screaming, looking down at a naked body in the water!” Of course, that naked body belonged to the inimitable Steven Tyler.
Steven, bless his unabashedly weird heart, was far from mortified about the incident. “Hey, I’m from Boston! I love water… Well I sat at La Reve all week and I just thought, I’ve watched the show all week and I’m a water guy and… I just wanted a good excuse to take my clothes off in front of J.Lo.”
We just hope the cameras were able to catch Jennifer’s face when she found him!
