Apparently, rumors that Jennifer Lopez left her American Idol judging gig amidst a salary dispute are entirely untrue.

A source close to J.Lo told People that the singer’s decision to part with the show was based on her desire to focus on family, making movies, and her various other business endeavors (including a fashion line).

The insider said that Fox offered to compensate Jennifer in a comparable manner to last year, but that her team never negotiated or countered the offer.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show last week, she hinted that she was ready to move on to other things in life. “I have my movies and my music and my this and that,” Jennifer said.
