American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez kicked off her media tour of New York City this week, and to start things off on a good note (pun intended), she appeared on this morning’s Live With Kelly to talk about how she got her start in music and to perform “I Will Always Love You.”

Jessica revealed that she started singing at a very young age and appeared on her first television program at the age of 10. When she made it through to Idol, she said, everything was great until the fateful moment she was eliminated from the show and then saved by judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson.

According to her, the incident caused her to over-think some of her performances. But ultimately, she said, “I don’t regret anything because I made it to the Top 2.”
