American Idol Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks was positively jaw-dropping at Tuesday’s premiere of Sparkle in New York City. The fledgling actress showed off her slim new figure under the big lights, the result of a 50-pound weight loss earlier this year.

So, how did Jordin drop the weight?

She told US Magazine, “There is no secret. It’s just better eating and working out! It’s definitely a daily thing.”

As for what sort of exercises she used to get toned, Jordin explained, “My mom’s best friend is a Zumba instructor and I loved it. I started with walking then went to jogging and then Zumba.”

Her fabulous new figure helped land her the August cover of Shape Magazine, where she shows wows in a bikini. Jordin admits she “shed a little tear” when that happened.

“I could only dream of having a cover and looking like that,” she confessed. “I thought, ‘I did it!’”
