The very first winner of Duets has been crowned, and coming out on top is (drum roll please…) J.Rome!

The singer whose duet partner, Sugarland songstress Jennifer Nettles, hand-selected him for the competition was the clear frontrunner throughout the season.

J.Rome beat out Jennifer’s other partner, John Glosson, and Kelly Clarkson’s pick Jason Farol for the top spot after serving up a rendition of DeBarge’s “Rhythm of the Night.”

As winner of the season, he walks away with a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

What do you think of J.Rome’s win? Did he deserve the victory, or did voters get it wrong?
